Laila is a writer and actress who writes plays, pilots, comedy sketches and a frankly obsessive amount of ‘to do’ lists. She has written and produced two plays. Her debut play Absolute Certainty, which she also performed in, received very complimentary four-star reviews and her second play Lost Unfound played to sold out audiences. Laila loves a bit of comedy and has recently had two of her sketches commissioned by Channel 4. Her first sketch All Menus these Days, which she also performed in, received over 6.6 million views on C4 Facebook. Aside from sketches and plays, Laila has co-written a feature film Maria’s Silence with filmmaker Filip Firlej. The film is in pre-production. Laila is currently working on some comedy pilots Dead End, Maya M and The Great Unclean and has recently signed with comedy agents The Galton Agency.
